Well, we're coming to the close of 2008, and what a year it's been. I'm looking forward to 2009 and the blessings God will bring. We will be revealing a recreated web site look on Jan. 1 2009! Be looking forward to that.

God bless!

This is a must read for this time of year. http://www.kingshouse.org/christmas.htm

Friday Goulash, December 5

In an attempt to protect the saints once again we have the ridiculous to report. A so-called church in Detroit is praying for congress to bail out the auto makers and displaying three cars at the alter. OJ Simpson is going to jail justice finally for the butcher of Beverly Hills. More Next week!

Blessed Thanksgiving to you all!

We pray you know that there is much to be thankful to our Lord for, and that you continue to prosper as your soul prospers. Here's a great site on Thanksgiving. God's blessings to you!

Now there's this stupid "challenge" for people to have sex for seven days from Ed Young. It's supposed to be controversial in the church and he's been all over the secular media touting it. This heretic has taken that which is beautiful, secret, and sacred between married couples and made it common. All because, as his web site spews, "is a straightforward communicator who uniquely connects God's unchanging truth with a diverse culture through compelling and creative teaching methods." Brothers and sisters question people like this! Look at the photo below notice the painted thumb what's that?

Also check out the CNN video where he is encouraging couples in his group to come back after seven days and "share" their seven day "sexual experiences"!  Below is a part of that transcript.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It`s really about looking in the eyes and connecting in a way that is spiritual, emotional and profound and really having an intimate experience. And that doesn't always happen with sex. But once you have the intimacy, then you can have the good sex.

REV. YOUNG: Well Jane, you know what were doing we are allowing the couples or suggesting for them, for the men and women to email us as they go through this seven-day period to talk about some of those things that you just described. And I think that is going to be the real take home from this deal.

It's not just the sex, but it's what surrounds it and what people talk about before they can jump into bed.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right, well listen, send me a snapshot of you and your wife after seven days. I want to see that.

REV. YOUNG: That`s why I`m smiling right now.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok, all right.

REV. YOUNG: All right.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, congrats. All right thank you, pastor.

vote.jpg (36525 bytes)

As you can see from the photo (click it to enlarge) there is my ballot for today. We vote absentee here in California. You will notice I did not vote for President, why? Because first we have one ruler over us—the Lord Jesus Christ not man. And second there is no one that is on the ballot who is capable. You will also notice the darkened circle for "Yes" on Prop. 8 which is the proposition to amend the California State constitution to forbid anyone other than a man and a woman to legally marry here. I also voted yes on Prop. 4 parental notification of a minor before an abortion. Imagine that on a California ballot! We take what we can get and pray for an end to all abortions. Here is a great article on Elections in Ameica.

Missionaries for America!

The Christian community in America is infatuated with sending out missionaries to other countries to help them, and "do the Lord's work over there." Now this is important too, BUT our nation needs missionaries of the gospel too even more so now than ever.

The Holy Word of God says:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 28:19)

And

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)

And

"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:47)

And again

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Notice that Luke and Acts gives a starting point for the Apostles, among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  And  ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. They were to go out starting in their neighborhood and keep going. From that time until now I doubt there is a nation on earth that does not have at least one believer living there.

So here we are sending out "missionaries" all over the world and what do they do? They come to a country, and enter a city and find a "Church" that is set up by either local Christians or missionaries before them. Then they stay, eat, drink, and do a little work and then fly home again and say "well I did my duty." It's not as you imagine--Christians going into places never having the gospel preached to them before as Paul says to do. "Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation." (Romans 15:20)

Again, there are believers all over the world and there are men used of God in those countries to help spread the Gospel. Each Christian is responsible for his own country first. Doesn’t it make more sense to be a missionary in your own country first? You know the language, laws, rules, areas, and the people as opposed to not knowing them. If you feel strongly that God is calling you to another country fine. But in the meantime you should consider your own country. America needs missionaries here now! We are in real trouble and are in desperate need of the true light of the Gospel. Give to missionaries that are working here in America help spread the True Gospel. More on this later.

Just a reminder of the actual working out of a usurping of the authority of the Constitution. Please note this and remember it well because it can and will happen to you in your state.

California has long been known as a hotbed of liberalism, socialism, and communism. It is no secret the GLBT community is extreme here even to the disgust of a majority of Californians. So much so, the people of California voted and passed Proposition 22 in 2000. It was reported that "61% of California voters approved a ballot measure, Proposition 22, which said "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California."

So they we were doing fine and relieved the GLBT so-called marriage might finally be behind us. However, the GLBT people never give up in there attempt to foist off on the rest of us their perverted ways. So, in May of 2008 "The California Supreme Court (activist judges) struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage." "The 4-3 ruling declared that the state Constitution protects a fundamental 'right to marry' that extends equally to same-sex couples." And "would invalidate virtually any law that discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation.

Now because of the open rebellion of the law, constitution, and the will of the people by these activist judges that decide and interpret law based on personal ideas and interpretation instead of precedents; we're forced to amend our state constitution to say, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." Again, be careful it can happen to you. Vote out activist judges and be watchful of the winds of change!

New President?

What should we do when a new President is elected in America? Notice I didn't say United States? I always try to say America because, one we are not united statistics say it is about 50%-50% divided in America, and because saying United States means the federal government is in control of every state which sadly it is. But as Christians we have a better country and a better King—Jesus! What happens when we elect a President? Since 1789 we have elected a man to be the President of our country by the process of elections whereby eligible citizens cast a vote for a candidate of their choice. That person then for the next four years "leads" our nation in various policies foreign and domestic. Since our nation is clearly divided between conservative and liberal we either get a conservative, a liberal, or somewhere between (John McCain). Which brings us back to the original question, what should we do when a new President is elected in America?

Here's what we should do.

One, as Christians we should already be trusting fully in Christ and not man. Every moment relying on Him for all our needs and supply.

Two, continue to live a life dedicated to God and the gospel. And as within our power and right to do so spread the gospel. We have not been cut off from doing this (yet).

Three, understand the laws of the land may be against you, but remain faithful to God and not man. Live simple, free, strong, and in righteousness.

Yes, a liberal President might pass vicious laws that might be against Christianity, but remember down through history it has been done to our people so take heart and stand strong against the tide of wickedness and tyranny.

Remember who is on the Lord's side let him come to Christ!

What is the Issue?

As Christians we hear a lot about the political kingdom vs. The Kingdom of God. I'm currently working on a study of this which is titled "Christ or our Country." But for now I would like to touch on some things that might be helpful to all of us. Below are four things we need to be aware of.

1. God First

Above all else God must be first in everything. That means our lives, family, homes, relationships everything. We should already be doing this. As Christians, this must be our first and only priority! Without Christ we are nothing. A life totally committed to Christ is the high ideal to achieve. When His ways and laws are in our thoughts and practices our worldview is forever changed for the good.

2. God's Kingdom

Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you. That means salvation is yours and must be cultivated. However, there is another meaning of the kingdom of God and that is the soon to be reign of Christ over all men everywhere. We must remember we are to covet the first kingdom and then wait for the second. This "Kingdom" is really what we will inherit in the end and the everlasting salvation of our souls. This kingdom is not debated or elected or fought over, but everlasting and imminent.

3. Political Kingdom

Any government is corrupt because inherently man is at the center. Only when we are in the kingdom of God will there be righteousness and peace with just laws and just judgment. As Christians we should be careful who we agree with or vote for. Perhaps we should not vote when there is no clear man that is on the side of right and is submitted to God. Both major parties are corrupt. The republicans are a party of war and deception. The Democratic Party is the party of death and socialism—repackaged communism. Today no Christian in all good conscience can vote for either party. Those that call themselves by that worthy name by which we are called and go and vote for Democrats are completely misguided and lacking compassion, sensitivity, and basic common sense.

Why should we be concerned with government? Well. We enjoy a certain amount of freedom even though that freedom seems limited at times. We enjoy a certain way of life, but that would change if the laws and policies would change for the worse. We have a duty to God to protect our freedom to promote the Gospel, our families, and our way of life. For example, if we did nothing in this country and let it just fall out to be whatever it would be we see that evil men would take over at an incredible pace. Imagine waking up one morning and finding that Muslims have completely taken over the US Government how would you feel? Do you think they would let you keep your Christian way of life? We saw the devastating effects in Afghanistan under the Taliban!

4. The Reason

We do not fight for a president or for a government. We fight for the freedom to proclaim the Gospel without hindrance, for our way of life, for our right to raise our family according to the dictates of God, and for the values that we believe are sacred and just. It is not the government we seek to fight for, but to hinder the control of the government to effect change in any of the aforementioned reasons.

God has me looking at the Scriptures closely of recent. It seems I will be doing some in-depth work. Here is a small sample of a big change. It should be as the KJV has it—"Should be saved" Why? Because we are saved not are being saved. :)

Acts 2:47 KJV

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 2:47 NKJV

praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Friday, October 10

I was asked by a friend of mine the following question: "were in the Bible can we (believers) go to encourage one another in these difficult times?" There are hundreds but I like the following:

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." (Colossians 3:1-4)

Yes for $700 Billion? God help us

Wednesday, October 1

I got a conference call from my congressional representative tonight. One after another people called in and expressed shear anger and outrage over this "rescue" bill. First it was a plan, then it was a bailout package, now it’s a "rescue" package. What do they think we're stupid? They keep changing the name to better fit and play on our fears and emotions until it passes. Make no mistake it will pass. Do you ever notice how other bills take years to even get a vote, but when it comes to money they can pass a bill in hours. My representative fielded questions and then tried to answer them, but it was all designed to make us think he's really interested in us. What about the rest of the year ever think about us then? No, only when it will effect you and your family, and because it's election time and he does not want to miss the votes. People, this supposed "rescue" package is simply a sham and a scam on the American people. Don't fall for it. Just say NO!

Monday, September, 29

Is everyone familiar with Rick Warren? If not you should be, because he's very dangerous and is in no way promoting the True Faith. Sometime ago I wrote an article on how all this "coming together" is going to take place and what it will look like read it here. Also read about Mr. Warren's latest one world religion stunt here.

Sunday, September 28

Why do I post articles and blog? I blog because I have something to say, and because I would like people to read what I write. I'm trying to help others look to the things above to see Christ, have common sense, and see what matters. Its a Christian view of life in the Faith, life in the world, and life in America, and I appreciate anyone reading what I write.

Thanks for reading, Brother Mark :)

Saturday, September 27

Again, we need to be reminded of how confused and false Joel Osteen is. Remember his Larry King interview? Watch the clip below and focus especially on part 1:08. Be watchful of wolves in sheep's clothing!

How do I properly dispose of a Bible?

Why would you want to "dispose" of a Bible? However, occasionally Christians have long wondered what to do with an old Bible that can no longer be "used." Many of us, indeed most of us, have an old or worn out Bible in our home; so what's wrong with that? I say nothing at all.

If you're like me some of my best notes are in my older Bibles. By the way, never use an ink pin or liquid marker to highlight your Bible. In this case you should simply retire them to your library. They would eventually be passed down in the family and in the end of the world God will dispose of it His way. Most Bibles are very durable and last for years I have a Bible from 1853 that you could still hold and read. So put the old Bibles away for your children, grandchildren, even great-grandchildren.

What else can you do? You could give it to a shelter, library, School, college, send it to a third world country, sell it on Ebay, or leave it somewhere where someone can find it. But never throw a Bible away in the trash!

Praising Sara Palin?

It seems everyone is offering praise for Sara Palin the Republican Vice Presidential nominee. Many are excited about her and her capacity to "energize" those that might have sat out this election. Until weeks ago she was almost unknown, and has now been thrust on the national stage. Make no mistake, selecting her was carefully planned and thought out. Politics is an orchestrated chess game.

When it surfaced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol has gotten pregnant by her 18-year old boyfriend. So what does everyone do? They start embracing all this and saying in effect "it's no big deal." So how must we take this? Why is this important to talk about?

Its not because she's running as Vice President, even though we are living in a parallel time to the Judges era where no men are brave enough to stand up and lead, but leave it to the women. Well did Isaiah prophesy about this "…and women rule over them" (Isaiah 3:12) So how must we take this?

The facts are these:

1.       She claims to be a Christian. Well today sadly that does not mean what it used to. In fact those that claim the loudest might be the vilest. But nonetheless, she claims to be a true conservative Christian and for believers it ought to mean something.

2.       The pro-life conservatives are all excited about her for her courage to bring a Down Syndrome child into the world, and for accepting her daughter's child. Well, being pro-life that what your supposed to do.

3.       What she should be called out on is her failure to raise a daughter of virtue, and her failure to raise a daughter with enough fear of the Lord to not have done something as this.

4.       Was Bristol raped? No, clearly she was "dating" this young man for sometime and if so then she was fornicating with him. He was quoted on his MySpace page as saying "I don't want kids." There seems to be no clarity in this situation and it’s a shotgun wedding for sure.

5.       If Bristol claims to be a Christian and does this how does that compare to the nonbeliever Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, pregnant, and then marries to cover it up. What does that say to others about the Faith? Where is the difference?

In the Old Testament the following applied:

Deuteronomy 22:13-21,28,29.

In the New Testament the following applied:

Acts 15:20,29; 21:25; 1 Corinthians 6:13,18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

People do make mistakes and are forgiven:

John 8:1-11

The right action is as follows:

Genesis 34:1-12; 24:67.

The point of this is to stop and say, "wait just a minute what's going on here?" Before we start praising someone for something we need to look at it from God's view and how we are presenting ourselves before God. It seems today people are eager to call evil good and good evil.

To recap:

1.       Sara and her husband failed as "so-called" Christians to raise a daughter of virtue.

2.       In their failure they have set before the eyes of their other children a precedent that it's ok to sin. We are to rise above sin not drop to its level.

3.       They have made nonbelievers to think critical of the Faith and Christians as hypocrites.

In praising Sara Palin for her actions of her daughter America has shown its moral decent even farther. It's a simple matter that many confused Christians can't even get a hold of in the proper perspective of God's holy standard. Christians, watch what you're doing!

Friday, September 26

As if we didn't have enough versions of the Bible already one publisher believes we need yet another. This is not an attempt to get people to read and believe God's word, but a ploy to make money. The Green Bible is now out for those environmentally conscious.

Election 08'

About this election could we yawn any wider? As Christians we should be watchful of who is President and other lawmakers as well, but it's no difficult thing to look at who's running and quickly decide they're not fit. Mr. Obama and his VP pick Mr. Bidden both share a love for murder of the unborn, love of homosexuals, and an equal need for America to become a socialist state. Do you think they're a good choice for leadership? How can you approve, let alone vote for, people who openly want to murder the unborn? More on His views here.

Mr. McCain is no better. I'm always a little suspicious of people who have "Cain" in their surname. Mr. McCain has picked his VP a woman and everyone is all excited about it. Mr. McCain says he has a 26-year record of pro-life. However, he's confused about whom the giver of life is watch here. With McCain it will be the same drivel as we had with Bush. There are no Godly choices and we need to realize that fact. So, this election be prepared for the worst of both worlds if either of the candidates win.

Friday is the first debate and I have no intrest at all. I'm not keeping up with the election because I don't need to; God is in control of our lives. Knowing His grace is shed upon me is the greatest hope one can ask for. It is the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ that will change the world as God grants us repentance.

Monday, September 22

"Thomas Nelson is a publishing firm that began in Scotland in 1798 as the namesake of its founder. Its former US division is currently the sixth largest American trade publisher and the world's largest Christian publisher."

A secular company now owns Thomas Nelson. "In February 2006 it was announced that private equity firm InterMedia Partners, in conjunction with some other investors, had agreed to buy Thomas Nelson for $473 million. The transaction closed on June 12, 2006. The company now operates as a private company."

So now they are introducing this new "Chronological Study Bible" which is due out by September 18th. Marketing it as the "only study Bible that presents the text of the New King James Version in chronological order." Well, It takes the various books of the Bible chops them up and reweaves them with other texts to fit a supposed historical timeline. It has so much information it will throw you into confusion.

I can sum this up with two words, NEW and MONEY. New because in order to keep people interested in their products they have to keep coming up with new marketing ideas. And Money because new ideas and cleaver techniques stimulate people to buy the product. God had His letters and books written as a whole not to be chopped up. Brothers and Sisters, don’t go out and buy this confusing thing stick to your regular Bible.

Thursday, August 14

It's been a while since I last posted and that's because a lot has been going on. However, I did want to mention a couple of things. Everyone is all up in arms of this Russia Georgia thing, but time and time again America gets herself into alliances that she has no business getting into. What did Russia do when we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq? In that which we (America) condemns we practice the same thing. Also, Newsmax has an interesting article on Zogby's "First Globals Are Redefining America" you should check it out, because this is the product of 40 years of socialist communist indoctrination from your schools and colleges. And finally, the Census Bureau has published an update saying white Americans will be the minority by 2042 read here and here. Does that shock you? Does that surprise you?

Friday, July 4

It's the 4th of July. Independance Day! Have a blessed one :)  Nothing is more important than Christ and the Bible.

Sunday, June 29

We have been polluted with smoke from several fires here in communistfornia pray for us. Sometimes I think God is beginning to do the work of judgement in this state especially after the horrible ruling from the sodomite court. I'm working on several articles and should be posting them soon. :)

Friday, May 16

Well it's no big surprise that California, or as I love to call it Communistafornia, has completely spit on the will of the people and overturned a Constitutional ban a gay marriage http://www.kcra.com/news/16274648/detail.html As I have said many times before, this is just one of thousands of reasons I hate and need to leave this state. The real issue is the outright rebellion of "so-called" elected officials in ignoring the will of the people. Really this has just been a long time coming, and I'm really surprised that it did not happen sooner. I am completely embarrassed and discussed with this state. There's supposed to be an old saying, "So goes California so goes the rest of the country" Hey, other states? Don't let it happen to you! I Thought it would be fun to post a photo of my cave. Long hours, prayer, and sweat have been poured in that office. :)

Tuesday, May 13

So often we get bogged down with "things to do" it seems there's never enough time to do everything. The key, I think, is to prioritize the work or tasks with that what is most important or pressing at the time. It seems, for me, that I have so much to do but so little time. There are things that have to be done, things that should be done, things that must be done, and things that I want to get done. With working a full time job and trying to keep up with things is hard. I'm sure we've all dealt with this from time to time. It's work, repairs, bills, study, writing, etc., all of which can be taxing. But God is good and always gives us the strength to do what needs to be done. I often struggle to keep up. I don't see the point in mindless drivel. What is the point of myspace or facebook? If I'm going to write something it should be meaningful and helpful to others; not simply "sup dude?" To waste your time and mine is an offense. We just finished watching the story of Liz Murray Homeless to Harvard. This is what can be done with a vision and effort. Another thing that makes me sick is the constant flip flop of people who say something, and then for fear of offending suddenly take it back. The latest is from John Hagee which is a perfect example. If you or I are going to say something and you're truly convinced of it and believe it then say it! Don't back down for fear of offending. God help us!

Saturday, May 5

I often hear people say "I don't believe in God" or "There is no God." The main reason for this is because to believe God or in God requires faith and belief. However, belief in a person comes two ways. One, when you are convinced by enough evidence, in all forms, that they are real. Two, when you have meet them. Let's say I doubted, having never met him, that George Washington ever existed. However, when I was shown all the "evidence" that he did indeed exist what should my answer be? A fool would only say no. The same goes for someone our contemporary if we never met them and someone says they are real and then you met them what is your answer? Again, a fool would say no. So it is with God He does exist and has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. I believe Christ because evidence says He is real, but most importantly because I have met Him. He came to me in my darkest hour and showed Himself real. He can for you as well.

Saturday, May 5

I was sick for four days with a strain of some new cold. It starts with a cough then a clogged throat and then achy muscles and fatigue. It actually takes about seven full days to work through it. I took all natural herbs and recovered just as quick as I would if I had taken OTC drugs. Thank God for His mercy on His servant! It's that time of the year again and that means mowing and pruning. Then make all the repairs you can before it gets to hot. Before we know it, it will be October and I'll have to start preparing for winter all over again. My wife's birthday is tomorrow; God has truly blessed her. Ron Paul has a new book out, and I encourage eveyone to get a copy and read it!

Sunday, April 20

I'm working on some articles that I pray will be a blessing to many. I get the old writer's block now and then, but God always manages to pull me back to that which is important. If we believers can remember that all we do is for His glory and to the propagation of the gospel, we would be much more focused on our spiritual duties. Be looking for updates to the articles soon. Pray for us, pray for our situation, and pray for His glory to be manifested in us His servants. I leave you with a passage that exemplifies our desire when teaching. "Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you…" (Philemon 1:8,9)

Tuesday, April 15

Not only was it April 15th the biggest American heist (tax day) of the year, but we had family over yesterday that we had not seen in almost five years. Very nice visit. It was like getting to know one another all over again. :) People always continue to amaze me. Thanks for the visit Mom and Sis. Be careful on the way back. Love you!

Friday, March 28

I’m writing this quick post before I’m off to work. The logo is done and we should be posting it soon. I’m working with someone on the new look for the front page as well. I modified the Forum a bit this morning– trying to make practical use of resources. Also, I’m working on an article about the Church; I will post it as soon as I can. Praise God for His truth!

Brother Mark

Why I Blog?

I wondered that myself. I think I blog because I have something to say at times. I don’t like to write out of my mind–I prefer to write my thoughts down or record them and then write it out. I always had a difficult time at writing simply because I don’t think I’m good at it. This blog is intended to help others look to the things above; even if it includes my ramblings once and a while.  It is my view of life in the Faith, life in the world, and life in America.

Thanks for listening, Brother Mark

Why we need to study and understand doctrine

Many Christians say we need to teach Christianity. That’s true and we need to teach truth and right doctrine. Let me say this, in the first century all of the teaching of the gospel or doctrine was of “word of mouth”–people would teach others by telling it. There was no written record of doctrine or the gospels except for the Old Testament. This is how it started.

Peter said concerning this form of teaching, “Moreover I will endeavor that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.” (2 Peter 1:15,16)

The writers of the gospels and epistles had what was called amanuensis’ or secretaries that would write down what the Holy Spirit was communicating to these authors. As the years progressed and the medium began to change like papyri, vellum, paper and such, the quality become more of a “permanent” record.

We had individual laymen and ministers commenting on the word of God, we had the Didache, which was a type of rule or compilation of the teaching of the apostles. Still further you had sermons, books, and letters that helped define teaching and doctrine. But always, always, the basic principle of learning and teaching Christianity came by reading and studying God’s Word. We get this from the Old Testament in Joshua for example.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)

And in the New Testament.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

This is the mandate of every individual Christian to study and pray to understand the Scriptures relying on the Holy Spirit to guide him or her. Up until the 15th century or so by the time of Tyndale’s first published edition of the English New Testament in 1525 the only way Christians could learn was that they had to go to Church to hear sermons. The problem was it was the Catholic Church and it was all in Latin. So if you did not know Latin then you were in the dark. If (a big if) people could get a copy of the Scriptures then they could read it for themselves, but that was difficult and dangerous. This is the horror of the dark ages when the evil institution of Roman Catholicism put people in bondage to control them.

So, when Bibles became available by 1611 there was a huge Bible that was put in Churches it was chained to a desk and people could go and read it, but individual people having their own copy of a Bible was still rare. The Roman Catholics did not want people having their own Bibles, why? Because they might read it for themselves and become saved and leave the Catholic Church.

Again, when Bibles, after 1525 and 1611 began to be produced, people could then read them on their own. Now down through the ages we had word of mouth, sermons, books, letters, and then we could get our own Bibles, then we had the advent of sound through the reeled tape for audio that came into use, and then radio and television. Then we had cassette tape, which dominated for many, many, years. Then came CD (Compact Disk) which holds a huge amount of information. Then computers, the Internet, and DVD’s (Digital Video Disks) and now MP3’s and Memory Sticks (SDs or MCs). The basic format and medium for the Christian to use is still the Bible. Good old leather and paper Bibles.

An example of the over abundance is this. Let’s say you love tomatoes and you go to a restaurant and there is a table twelve feet long filled with tomatoes you have hundreds of tomatoes to chose from and eat thus you’re inundated with tomatoes. That’s kind of the way it is today in the area of Christian teaching to the point were you are taught so many differing views, and on different topics, it throws individuals into confusion.

You get all these different views and people become confused because they don’t know what’s true. And because you have Bible teachers, ministers, and evangelists that will teach you, even if the plain text is there, their twisted views of their own ideas instead of letting the Scriptures speak.

This is a difficult time in the Church and this means we need to get back to correct teaching, we need to get back to studying the Scriptures for ourselves coupled with good Bible study tools. The question is this, why do people refuse what the Bible says? Because they are confused and have little faith, and because of the twisted teachings.

We need to study yes, we need to hear good Bible teaching yes, but it has to be truth—true and faithful Bible teaching. Why? Because the Bible says it is good for our edification. What does that mean? It means to build us up to make us stronger in the faith and what we believe.

You can’t cease to pray, read, study, and hear the word of God. If you do altogether you will dry up. You will become unfruitful. God and His word by Jesus Christ and the help of the Holy Spirit will foster growth and wisdom if we apply our hearts and minds to the task.

We need discipline and doctrine we need Biblical truth. We must study from a faithful version like the King James version in doing so we know we will be getting the Word of God unadulterated and not watered down. We must be aware that our enemy (satan) has, does, and will do everything, in subtle but powerful ways, to pervert the words of God. The enemy knows he can’t change the final word of God, so he introduces through so-called theologians, scholars, etc. to provide validity to the error corrupt versions that remove or add words, change phrases, etc. then it’s disseminated out to the gullible Christian masses. A version can be corrupt but the final word of God can not be.

This then creates confusion when a hundred different Bible teachers, pastors, scholars, and even laymen use these corrupted translations. Peter said this would happen. “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1)

The goal of the enemy is to kill, rob, and destroy, “…the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.” (John 10:10) And to twist the truth creating wrong doctrine. And if false doctrine is created, proclaimed, and believed then confusion and error reign.

Here’s how it works. False translations are made. These translations are sold in mass to seminaries (or I like to call them cemeteries) which in turn teach out of these false versions and subsequent false doctrine follows. Then these men (and women God forbid) are sent out to churches, they in turn teach it to the people, which they in turn believe and become entrenched in error. It’s a killer cycle with devastating consequences.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:11-16)

The above verses are the reason why we need doctrine. Not just any doctrine, but correct faithful doctrine. What is there to be fearful of? What is there we don’t want to give up in obeying all of God’s truth? When Christians believe error and false doctrine it’s very difficult to convince them of truth. There is so much error being disseminated today that the truth is looked upon as error itself. We have history in the Church and that history dictates we hold fast to correct doctrine. Jude says to “contend for the faith.” We must be faithful in what we teach, and each generation should be just as faithful to continue the good work of God in purity and truth!

It comes down to this. There are those that teach everything true in God’s word, and are faithful to Him by the grace of the Holy Spirit. These men are learning, studying, and teaching, in all forms, the absolute truths of the word of God. We should seek them out, pray for them, and support them.

May God grant your eyes to see and your ears to hear His truth!

Amen?

New Logo Coming

Greetings once again my brothers and sisters. I wanted to update you on a couple of things. We have modified the web site a bit — more clear, easy to find items, and friendlier. I also wanted to mention that we are going to be contracting with a logo design company to create a custom logo for us. We’re excited that we will have a permanent logo for the King’s House, and pray that we glorify God with it. As long as we’ve been on the Internet, and through various design changes, we’re glad to be locking it down after all these years.

Blessings!

Brother Mark

Is it over?

We had a great study this morning in John chapter nine. Notice especially verse four.

"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4)

We took some time in this verse to look and think about especially part b. “…the night cometh, when no man can work.” Wow! Jesus says here there will come a time when we can’t work the work. Does He mean earn to make a living? No, I don’t believe so. I was reminded by the Holy Spirit about 2 Timothy 4:3,4 - “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” Are we there now? Is it over? People do not want to hear Biblical truth these days, which is sad. Remember God always had and will always have a remnent according to grace that serves Him. No compromise guys!

Working it out

We had some good rain today and high winds again, but that’s winter here in what I call Communistafornia. We are trying to nail down this blog and tweaking it a bit. We decided to use our own host for the space. We might morph all the stuff on the web site over to here? not sure though how that would work. More later.

Blessing to you all.

Thursday, Febuary 28

Wow! We sure have moved around a lot to find a good home for our blog own host was the place to be. More to come soon!

Tuesday, Febuary 12

Obviously the web site is up and running again. We might be changing the look of our web site soon so check over for updates. I’m hoping to get some schooling done this year, and some more messages posted. Lot’s to do and always so little time. God bless!

Thursday, January 24

Over at our forum I put out an alert as to the calling back of all true Christians from this pollution and corruption we find in denominations today!

If you are one that walks with God and hears His voice, one that does not listen to the garbage foisted off on us today, if you hear with spiritual ears the things the Holy Spirit is whispering to you about what is going on, then we want to hear from you.

We’re calling out all those that can see and hear the Holy Spirit in truth. Not just those that think they do, but those that know they do. Those that know denominations are now corrupt, polluted, and not really Christian at all. Look at what you see and tell me if it is of God? Tell me if you think God is really in it?

If you feel this and want to join in with others of like mind e-mail us or get a message to us anyway you can. Time is running out and we can’t look to the things below and the things above at the same time.

Monday, January 21

We spent last weekend cleaning up the property. All this week and into the next we’re getting rain–the kind that is steady, but not the pounding type. Everyone always says we need it. I don’t like the rain much, it can cause a lot of damage. I would never be able to live in the Pacific Northwest. I don’t want to live in California anymore. I grow increasingly frustrated with each passing day. So we continue to pray to God for guidance. California’s history of liberalism converted into communism that should be obvious. My dream at presence is to obtain a piece of land clean, safe, secure, and plentiful and set up a clean modest home and create a place the brethren can retreat to. Especially in these last days. If God wills it a sanctuary if you will. God grant you the desire of your heart as well.

Thursday, January 17

Praise God for His goodness and grace! What a God we serve. Many times people need reasons to praise Him either for something that happened, received, or what have you. How often do we just praise Him for Him–for who He is? To thank Him for being Him and looking our way. God often puts things in my mind and it’s my job to process them. Found a great sound to start the video teachings on Godtube and Youtube. One of my goals this year is to start uploading video messages. Pray for us. We are doing a bunch of clean up this weekend.

Saturday, January 12

We had a good day today. Cleaning up after the storm that hit. Praying for guidance. Tomorrows another day!

Sunday, January 6

Well, we’re still here! Wow what a storm gusts up to 70mph 45mph sustained winds a lot of damage. We are fine was without power for 36 straight hours. Praise God for His grace to His servants. \0/
