Do we run or stay?

There is a movement today that pits conservatives (it's not needful that I should expound the meaning of that term. For its use can very from group to group, but simply it's a person with high moral values, and clearly not liberal in their views be it political, religious, civil, or environmental) against liberals. And in all phases of American life one blames the other for the decay that is upon us.

Clearly, there is a real problem here in America with murders, adulteries, lusts, fornication, thefts, idolatries, magical arts, witchcraft, plunderings, false witnessings, hypocrisies, doubleness of heart, treachery, pride, malice, stubbornness, covetousness, foul--speaking, jealousy, boldness, exaltation, boastfulness; persecutors of good men, hating truth, loving a lie, not perceiving the reward of righteousness, not cleaving to the good nor to righteous judgment, wakeful not for that which is good but for that which is evil-from whom gentleness and forbearance stand aloof; loving vain things, pursuing a recompense, not pitying the poor man, not toiling for him that is oppressed with toil, not recognizing Him that made them, murderers of children, corrupters of the creatures of God, turning away from him that is in want, oppressing him that is afflicted, advocates of the wealthy, unjust judges of the poor, altogether sinful.

Not to mention a whole host of other problems that befalls us daily. This does not mean other countries do not have these sins, but it's magnified more in this country—it's a bigger threat because of our freedom. We admit there is a real and growing problem with our country. Do you weep and moan over these acts of sin and atrocities? Do you cry and weep for your sins? Is there a longing in your soul for the things of God? Do you care for the things of the world more than the things of God?

The Players

The nonbelievers that are patriotic and love this country see this decay and mourn over it. They run here and there trying to stop it or correct it but to no avail.

The flaming liberals are major players in the decay of this country and have a specific agenda to steer, if they can, this country to an ideal saturated in evil.

The moderate liberals are on the same page as the flaming liberals, but are simply "new" at it and are being indoctrinated into the fold.

The conservatives know the problems, see the decay, but are motivated by money, and besides if all the liberals were gone they would have nothing to argue, no chance to capitalize on the negative.

The true believers see and know the problems, and are eager to overcome the wrongs and restore the climate to "a time that once was."

What is it?

What is it about America that makes us so love this country? Anyone that truly loves country will tell you it's the pride of country, patriotism, and freedom that makes us love her so. Most all Americans, whether indigenous or transplanted, will say it's the freedom they have here that makes them love this country. To many this is home. This is the place of their birth it is comfort and it is rest. It is the feeling of knowing we live in the greatest country on earth. There is no other place like the United States of America. To be allowed by God to live here is a privilege not a right.

Simply, it's the freedom and chance of prosperity that makes people love this country. We must remember freedom is not a country it is a state of being. A country can represent and allow freedom, but it cannot administer that freedom—it can not give or make you free. Only God can set us free. Are you truly free? To fight for freedom is to fight for the cessation of the people and acts of those people that would have you in bondage.

The struggle is to conquer a foe determined to remove the freedoms we hold so dear. We fight not for the land, but to live out that freedom in this land. For what good is America if our freedom is gone? I must admit I'm biased toward my country. I love the beauty of the land the mountains, oceans, hills, farms, fields, rivers and streams, wildlife and plants. This land is truly beautiful in many places God has blessed us with abundant splendor.

Infant America

The troubles we're facing have not always plagued us. There was a purer time when things were different. In America's infancy Americans were discovering the freedom the came for. As a child learns to crawl then walk so it was with the early Americans in their discovery as a people in the new land. Was sin, as it is today, present with them? Yes. Perhaps not as induced as we are today but none the less it was present.

When the control and exertion of the hegemony of Britain increased to the point of war, they rallied to the call for freedom and defended it. The Revolutionary War was truly a war for independence and freedom within this country. The cause just, the means meager, the end freedom. When the war came to a close our people faced freedom and the task of preserving it from aggression from powers foreign and domestic.

The laws and documents drafted during those years served as a guideline for governance. Constructed with freedom bought and God as the center the constitution, declaration of independence, and the bill of rights served as a rule for the God fearing citizenry to live in freedom and peace. Before and during the war years a few men of polluted and corrupt minds tried to exert an ungodly, unbiblical, diabolical influence upon the establishment. Some were driven out, some fled to Europe or England, and some submitted and hid their agenda to be used at a later time.

Civil War

By the time the civil war had begun many felt the federal government had become an uncontrollable Leviathan. According to many at that time the feeling was that their rights were not only being threatened but systematically removed. War, to them, was the only answer. Had the south won the war things might have been very different. However, it was not to be—God had other plans.

The ideas of those suppressed and hidden before and during the Revolutionary war had come out in their succeeding generations by 1863. When the civil war ended those with extremist liberal views (like Lincoln, and Grant) were in high places and began to implement them unhindered. From America's infancy to the present the pure God given freedom we enjoy in this nation has and is being slowly, intently, and methodically eroding away by those of evil and corrupt minds.

1900, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam

By this time we were fighting on other soils for the illusion of keeping fascism and communism at bay. Understand the damage that has been done to our state of freedom in the country by a single powerful corrupt individual is more than a thousand Hitler's could do. From 1900-1973 the agenda of these enemies of God and freedom had become very apparent. The main problem was, and still is, no one did anything to stop it! Like the dog asleep the fox has overrun the chicken house and made off with the booty right from under us. Do you understand what I'm saying?

The attempted removal of God

By 1963 the agenda of kicking God out became clear. Prayer and Bible reading in schools were removed. Other controversies such as God, references to Him, and Christianity were attacked. The men of polluted and corrupt minds had no need of God and the hindrances of any moral absolutes. As before from then on a slow and steady stream was planned to remove God and Christianity from American life, or it least the government which would pave the way for exclusion and control and put a corrupt agenda in place to profit the sons of belial.

When good and freedom under the auspices of God are evident evil attacks. For America an all out assault never worked, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War were examples, what the enemies of God and freedom learned was the slow determined infiltration and control is what was needed. Like a slow killing disease that invades the body without notice or when pain grows and spreads in degrees unaware until such a point it overcomes and kills.

It happens with the youth

The target has always been, and will most likely always be, the youth. To brainwash, dumb down, and demoralize them—making them puppets to indoctrinate into the way of this evil and polluted agenda is the plan. The goal? To allow the youth to multiply and be the sottish children of belial carrying the corrupt agenda to fulfillment in a future age. The fabric of our country will not be destroyed by bombs and bullets, but by the corrupt minds of men indoctrinated 30 or 40 years ago. The future for America is ugly and the disciples of evil will usher it in. Our public schools are breeding grounds of filth and perversion. They are institutions of evil, schools of belial, gathering places of foolishness, citdels of sin.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6)

What is the knowledge spoken of here?

"The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)

"The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

What is the Agenda?

Simply, this "agenda" is to change the fabric of our nation from God fearing to God hating. It is manifested in many forms. Those behind this agenda have a different view of freedom. For them freedom is to do, express, and propagate all the lusts of the flesh—to do what one desires to do without being told its wrong.

"[but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes." (Judges 17:6)

"For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary [there shall be] even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled." (Amos 3:10,11)

To them God and Christianity, and all that it represents (salvation in Jesus Christ), must go. We true American patriots fearing God and serving Him are in the way! They don't want this nation to be, or even makes references to it, as a Godly nation.

What is a true Christian to do?

Do we say, "Ops! They have destroyed the fabric of my country I should leave and find another that is Godly"? You would spend eternity looking. Do we fight to declare the gospel, to keep the freedom of worship, expression of faith in God, and love of country? Yes. However, understand you may never win.

Israel of old turned her back on God and he turned His back on them and scattered them to the outer parts of the world for the disobedience. What did other Godly men and women in nations of corruption. Where could we go? There is no where. Sin is present in all nations just manifested in higher or lower degrees from nation to nation.

As true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ we are free in Him.

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)

Our freedom comes from Christ and Christ alone. We could be in the worst most wretched country ever and still be free, we could be jailed for our faith but still be free. "Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." (Acts 16:24,25) we could be in a nation were our rights and freedoms are taken away but we would be still free. We could suffer all kinds of evils but we would still be free. "For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake." (Philippians 1:29). Freedom is a state of being, made sure by Christ, and is not subject to its surroundings. Do you understand this principle?

Jesus said, "…occupy till I come." (Luke 19:13)

The point that I'm driving at is this that this world is not our home. As true believers this world is not really our home. America is not my home. The country you live in is not your home. It does not matter what befalls us in the nation we happen to live in, not that we don't care we do, but that we must not be occupied with this world and all it offers to us. Yes, we love the beauty of God's creation as mentioned above but as far as the safety, trust, prosperity, and goods of the world that must be non essential to us as Christians. Our business is to be about spreading the gospel of Christ, and living for Him until He comes.

Listen to what the Scriptures say to us about this.

"The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land [is] mine; for ye [are] strangers and sojourners with me." (Leviticus 25:23)

"That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ…Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God." (Ephesians 2:12,13,19)

"For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God." (Hebrews 11:10)

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth…But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city." (Hebrews 11:13,16)

"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels." (Hebrews 12:22)

"For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come." (Hebrews 13:14)

"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:19)

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:19)

The dangers of attaching ourselves to this world.

"He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful." (Matthew 13:22)

"And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful." (Mark 4:19)

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)

"For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia." (2 Timothy 4:10)

It is useless to focus on this world and all it has to offer us.

"For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content." (1 Timothy 6:7,8)

We are commanded to not look to the things of this world, but to look to heaven and Christ our master.

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." (Colossians 3:1,2)

Brothers and sisters, we are "to occupy" till Jesus comes. Yes, love your country. Yes, fight for right and your right to freely express your faith in God. Yes, mourn over the disintegration of America. Mourn over the state of your country. However, remember you're a Christian and this world, country, state, and city/town is not your home. Be about living the truth of the gospel. Be about spreading Christianity when and wherever you can.

"But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city." (Hebrews 11:16)

Amen?
