September 11, 2001: God's wake up call to America

After the September eleventh attacks I felt angry, upset, frustrated, and depressed as did many Americans. I too had sleepless nights. The attacks effected everyone in some way or another. I didn't struggle with those feelings because I was afraid, but because I know the truth behind all of this. God stomach punched America! It's not just the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, but all of the hidden agendas of the indigenous sons and daughters of belial in America. Certainly everyone will remember September 11, 2001 it was and will remain a day that changed everything. As Christians we know God is in control of all events and circumstances. We can rest in Christ and His word to guide us into the kingdom regardless of future events. Amen?

How could it happen?

Many people are asking how could this happen? Why did this happen? We have to understand we were very much in "sleep mode" before all this. We have to admit that as a nation we were totally unprepared, and even ignorant to such an idea. The fact is we were, had been, and still are lulled by our sins and pride into a false sense of security and our arrogance as a prideful sinful people. The majority of people in America don't like to hear these truths. The majority doesn't like to think God allowed this to happen to us. They don't want to hear that it was our sins. They can't reason that their brand of a loving God would ever do such a thing to America. "Why, we're blessed" they say. And worse yet, they run around saying "God bless America" as if this mantra will rectify the situation. We have to face the stark reality that this attack did happen and that for a reason—our beginning judgement! I had very strong feelings that something was going to happen in the world and it did! Why did this attack happen?

"Why [then] is this people of Jerusalem [America] slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return." (Jeremiah 8:5)

"In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD." (Ezekiel 6:6,7)

What Kind of Nation?

If God allowed this to happen (that is ultimately what it is, seeing He's in control over all things, He allowed it. He may not have planned it or ordered it but He did nothing to stop it—His protection was removed from us) why would He? We have to understand there's only two kinds of nations in this world—those that serve God and those that don't.

"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." (Matthew 21:43)

"Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD; [and] the people [whom] he hath chosen for his own inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)

Many will say what are you talking about? Why should God judge us for our sins? Other countries commit sin and we don't see them be "judged" as you say? To be honest, those are all good points. But in the beginning of our nation we were built on God and His word.

Fact: Our nation (The United States of America) started out proclaiming God was the God of America, and that we would follow Him and His laws.

Evidence #1: The Magna Carta was a document that greatly influenced the new America. "Know that, having regard to God and for the salvation of our soul, and those of all our ancestors and heirs… that the English Church shall be free, and shall have her rights entire, and her liberties inviolate…." (Magna Carta, June 15, 1215)

Evidence #2: The Mayflower Compact - Composed by William Bradford Adopted November 11, 1620 [This Compact, drawn up in the cabin of the Mayflower, was not a constitution, a document defining and limiting the functions of government. It was, however, the germ of popular government in America.  "In the name of God, Amen…having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our king and country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents solemnly and mutually in the presence of God, and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic, for our better ordering and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid." (The Mayflower Compact, Composed by William Bradford Adopted November 11, 1620)

"For as much as it hath pleased Almighty God by the wise disposition of his divine providence so to order and dispose of things that we the Inhabitants and Residents of Windsor, Hartford and Wethersfield are now cohabiting and dwelling in and upon the River of Connectecotte and the lands thereunto adjoining; and well knowing where a people are gathered together the word of God requires that to maintain the peace and union of such a people there should be an orderly and decent Government established according to God… for ourselves and our successors and such as shall be adjoined to us at any time hereafter, enter into Combination and Confederation together, to maintain and preserve the liberty and purity of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus which we now profess, as also, the discipline of the Churches, which according to the truth of the said Gospel is now practiced amongst us; as also in our civil affairs to be guided and governed according to such Laws, Rules, Orders and Decrees as shall be made, ordered, and decreed as followeth." "CAPITAL LAWS 1 If any man after legal conviction shall have or worship any other god, but the Lord God, he shall be put to death. 2 If any man or woman be a witch (that is, hath or consulteth with a familiar spirit), they shall be put to death. 3 If any man shall blaspheme the name of God, the Father, Son, or Holy Ghost, with direct, express, presumptuous, or high-handed blasphemy, or shall curse God in the like manner, he shall be put to death." "…and for this end they, or the greater number of them, shall have power to take account from time to time of all parents and masters, and of their children…especially of the ability to read and understand the principles of religion and the capital laws of this country…. It being one chief project of the old deluder [deceiver] satan, to keep men from the knowledge of the Scriptures…that learning may not be buried in the grave of our fathers in the Church and commonwealth, the Lord assisting our endeavors." "…be it enacted that whatsoever person or persons within this province…shall deny our Saviour, Jesus Christ, to be the son of God, or shall deny the Holt Trinity (the Father, Son, Holy Ghost)…shall be punished with death and confiscation or forfeiture of all his or her lands…." (The Maryland Toleration Act, April 21, 1649)

"…be it maintained with a full liberty in religious concernments [affairs] and that true piety rightly grounded upon gospel principles will give the best and greatest security to sovereignty and will lay in the hearts of men the strongest obligations to true loyalty." "Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged." (The Northwest Ordinance July 13, 1787)

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…" (The First Amendment, Bill of Rights, December 15, 1791)

The first amendment did not intend to exclude God or Christianity from public or private life only to not restrict freedom of worship, and caution against making one religion a "state religion."

The powers that be are ordained of God: whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God. "In God we trust" (your money)

These are just a few quotes that provide undeniable evidence that our nation and government was founded, dedicated, and structured on the God of the Bible. I would challenge anyone to seriously research the beginnings of this country to find out for themselves that indeed it was founded upon God and His Bible. Only those that are afraid of the truth will refuse to do the research! Remember the Mayflower compact?

What does this mean? It means that at the very start of this nation our forefathers dedicated themselves and this nation to God. They were saying, God is our God and we will build this nation and live by His commands. God's approval to them was the blessings that followed.

We Turned Our Backs on God

"And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins." (Leviticus 26:18)

"If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity." (Daniel Webster)

If we return to the central question—"why did this happen?" we find that the answer is clear, it is because we turned our backs on God. We have been very evil in His sight, and as Thomas Jefferson said,"… God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever."

As Americans we were built upon ideas of freedom, peace, and the worship of the one true God. We certainly have become like the children of Israel after the exodus from Egypt--how that they rose up to play and commit all kinds of evil once their freedom was granted. Freedom of oppressive governments, tyrants, rulers, and slavery will always bring evil actions why? Because the human heart is sick with sin (Jeremiah 17:9).

If a people are unshackled to do, express, and live how they wish, as it is here in America, without any moral, legal, or corrective instructions to curb the evils of the heart the result will be out right wickedness and evil. Sodom and Gomorrah were such an example of non-restraint of wickedness.

How long did you think the covering of protection would last?

A result will occur that the evil will raise its agenda, either secretively or openly, to conquer the good—because the good stands as a threat (just as the Angels posed a threat to the sons of belial in Sodom) to squelch the evil.

The reality is evil is in the heart and will always exist. No man, gun, missile, ship, or aircraft will be able to stop it. Even if we had a massive nuclear war there would still be small amounts of people on earth and you know what? They would have evil in them. As long as humans exist evil and evil ideas will exist. Evil in the heart of people will only stop when everyone accepts Jesus Christ, or when He comes for judgement.

What can we do? One, we must understand justice and peace will never be only when Jesus returns. Two, evil, evil people, and evil ideas will never stop until Jesus comes. So what can we do then? We must learn to rely on the Lord Jesus to bring us through. We must stand up for God and what is right and good, and never let our voice we stopped. One thing we would consider acceptable is that they stop pushing their agendas on all of us. It's a conflict of good verses evil of which has been going on for thousands of years. It's a war of good vs. evil a spiritual war. However, having said that it's true that like most wars its foundations can be traced to religion. The goal of the enemy is to try and defeat Christianity.

We have been given a stern warning from God in this attack. He is judging our nation for our evils and sins, and nothing but an all out corporate repentance and acknowledgement of Him as the only one true God and Jesus Christ as our Lord will overt further disaster. People will say how can you say that? We can. God throughout history has brought swift destruction and slavery to His people when they turned away from Him.

And the fact is, from the beginning to the present we have degenerated to an immoral post-Christian nation. We are a nation soaked in our sins and show no signs of repentance. Many videos and programs show the digression of America from the beginning to the present. Often times this is designed to get us to feel guilty—to get us up to do something. Our Ministers and Pastors make us feel as if all this is our fault, and that by our silence evil has gained a foothold over the years. Our job as true Christians is to occupy till He comes, living a holy and Godly life, and to preach the gospel. Jesus never promised that our nation would always be blessed, or that we would never encounter evil people only that He would be with us forever. Moreover, no one needs to give the gory details of our sin look around you and you well see it everywhere! Almost everyone in this county deep inside knows we've done wrong and offended God.

How long did you think the covering of protection would last?

For example we have crime, injustice, abortion, homosexuality/lesbianism/ transvestitism/ bisexuals and pedophiles, greed, drunkenness, removing God from schools, courts, symbols, public acknowledgment, gambling, prostitution, drugs, pornography, witchcraft, physics, soothsayers, adultery, idolatry, murder, hedonism, corrupt education system, divorce, godlessness, lying, pride, corruption, rape, bestiality, lust, foolishness, hatred, strife, allowing foreign gods on our soil, and the list can go on and on. We also have a secret government that wants to destroy Christianity.

The new nation prospered as no nation has ever prospered before, but that didn't discourage those who were dedicated to "the dark side." When Franklin Delano Roosevelt became President, they consolidated their power. President Roosevelt was a 32nd degree Mason; both he and Eleanor were involved in the occult. [16] FDR replaced every retiring Supreme Court judge with a Mason, or someone sympathetic with their goals, who was willing to undermine the Constitution, centralize power in Washington, D.C., and destroy our Christian heritage. Vice President Harry Truman was a 33rd degree Mason, and when President Roosevelt died, Truman continued to pack the Supreme Court with Masons. As a result, Freemasons controlled the United States Supreme Court from 1941 to 1971. During those years they removed God and prayer from public schools, increased the power of the Federal bureaucracy, and established the "dark side" of our government." God Warned Us

"But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, [but] that ye break my covenant:I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your [high] ways shall be desolate. And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins." (Leviticus 26:14-24)

"But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back." (1 Kings 14:9)

"But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it [to be] a proverb and a byword among all nations." (Jeremiah 26:4-6)

"But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels [and] in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward…Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers. Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee. But thou shalt say unto them, This [is] a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth." (Jeremiah 7:24,26-28)

"See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape], if we turn away from him that [speaketh] from heaven:" (Hebrews 12:25)

"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished…Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam [the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness." (2 Peter 2:9,15)

These are just a few warnings from God when a people dedicated to Him turns away wholesale from Him as we have!

The result of turning away from Him

"Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead. And it came to pass, when he reigned, [that] he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite: Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger." (1 Kings 15:28-30)

"For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger. And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin." (1 Kings 14:15,16)

"But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin. In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;" (2 Kings 10:31,32)

"For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day." (2 Kings 17:22,23)

"In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor [by] the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. For [so] it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. And the children of Israel did secretly [those] things that [were] not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as [did] the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, [and by] all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments [and] my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. "And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day." (1 Chronicles 5:26)

"Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought [them] to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter." (2 Chronicles 28:5)

Why did these things happen to Israel? Because of the following:

Of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned.

Because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger. And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam.

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins….

For the children of Israel walked in all the sins…they departed not from them.

For [so] it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt.

Sound familiar? Do you think we have stop sinning? Do you think we have departed from God? What do you think God will do to us if we don't turn back to Him? We get a verity of comments from ministers and pastors about the attack. I know I understand the sign of the time, and that I will say without reservation that God allowed it to happen because of our ongoing sin.

Here are some examples of what others have said about it.

"God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve," said Falwell, appearing yesterday on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club," hosted by Robertson…Jerry, that's my feeling," Robertson responded. "I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population…Falwell said the American Civil Liberties Union has "got to take a lot of blame for this," again winning Robertson's agreement: "Well, yes." Then Falwell broadened his blast to include the federal courts and others who he said were "throwing God out of the public square." He added: "The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen."

"I put all the blame legally and morally on the actions of the terrorist," he said. But he said America's "secular and anti-Christian environment left us open to our Lord's [decision] not to protect. When a nation deserts God and expels God from the culture . . . the result is not good."

Then he says on Monday Sept. 17th.

"The Rev. Jerry Falwell apologized Monday for saying God had allowed terrorists to attack America because of the work of civil liberties groups, abortion rights supporters and feminists. Falwell also said the terrorist attacks on the U.S. were "probably what we deserve." The conservative minister made his remarks on "The 700 Club," the popular religious show on the Christian Broadcasting Network hosted by Pat Robertson. Robertson immediately said, "Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror." In his apology, Falwell said his comments were ill-timed, insensitive and divisive at a time of national mourning. President Bush had called the minister's statement inappropriate. "In the midst of the shock and mourning of a dark week for America, I made a statement that I should not have made and which I sincerely regret," Falwell said. He added: "I want to apologize to every American, including those I named." (CBS News.com, Sept. 18, 2001)

Then it's not enough for Falwell to shut up he comes out again and says.

"L Y N C H B U R G, Va., Sept. 20 — The Rev. Jerry Falwell is taking back comments he made after last week's terrorist attacks, saying he shouldn't have blamed gays, civil libertarians and others for making America a target… On Thursday on Good Morning America, Falwell said he "misspoke" when he said gays, lesbians and the ACLU made the attacks happen. "I do not believe they endanger America. I misspoke totally and entirely," Falwell told ABCNEWS' Diane Sawyer… On the 700 Club, Robertson said he totally concurred when Falwell finished his controversial comments. Since then, Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network released a statement calling Falwell's remarks "severe and harsh in tone and, frankly, not fully understood" by Robertson at the time." (ABCnews.com, Sept. 22, 2001)

"THE CURRENT CONFLICT is "much more complicated" than previous ones, said Albert N. Keim, a pacifist scholar. "These people are killing people in a particularly dreadful way," said Keim, a retired history professor at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va. "We pacifists know how to behave in war, but we’re still learning how to react to terrorism. We’re finding it very, very difficult." Unlike millions, they hear a renewed call to oppose war. This week, the Quakers urged members to recall the words of their 17th-century founder, George Fox: "The Spirit of Christ ... will never move us to fight and war against any man with outward weapons." (Richard N. Ostling, ASSOCIATED PRESS, Sept. 29, 2001)

"Local Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell (President Bush's Pastor) points fingers at those who didn't pray for bin Laden… Instead, Caldwell, the Windsor Village United Methodist Church preacher and frequent spiritual adviser for President George W. Bush, promised the crowd of 4,000 last week that he would "rock your boat." He proceeded to do it with a sermon partly built around his wife Suzette's observation that angry Americans should blame not Osama bin Laden but rather the church. "Now whyyyyy is that?" Caldwell shouted. "Because the church has failed to walk and operate in the power and authority that has been given only to the body of Christ." (The Houston Press, Sept. 7, 2001)

"Yesterday, standing before the smoldering five-story high pile of rubble, I cried inwardly, "Oh Lord, if every American could stand here and behold this awful destruction, they could come to the only possible conclusion: God is warning this nation to repent." (David Wilkerson, World Challenge letter, 10-8-01)

The Attack

Just as in the Old Testament, when Israel would turn from God and refuse to hear His call to return, He used an army or a nation to execute His judgement. So it was on September 11th God used the extremist Muslims. Many are saying that the religion of Islam is not to blame for this attack. Many in the Christian faith are even trying to reach out to them as if it is accepted. We must understand Christianity and Islam are not compatible. Islam is against Christianity on many positions, but the most compelling is its rejection of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and God Himself. This alone makes Islam an enemy of Christianity and its adherent's candidates for evangelism.

Before we all start running off and embracing Islam as ok we need to examine what it teaches about Jesus and Christianity.

"The resentment of the US has spread through societies demoralized by their recent history. In few of the world's 50 or so Muslim countries have governments offered their citizens either prosperity or democracy. Arab nations have lost three wars against their arch-foe - and America's closest ally - Israel. A sense of failure and injustice is rising in the throats of millions. From one end of the region to the other, the perception is that Israel can get away with murder - literally - and that Washington will turn a blind eye. It only keeps going on and on until the Muslim empire swallows every empire existing. Saeed has become another shahid, a martyr and heroic defender of the Muslims against the enemies of Islam. if we need to fight against the United States in Afghanistan we are ready, because we are Muslims. It is our duty to fight against any infidels who are threatening our Muslim brothers." (Christian Science Monitor, Sept. 27, 2001)

After reading the above we should not be fooled it's not about America being perceived as a world bully or anything like that its truth (Christianity) and falsehood (Islam) are at odds.

"It is our duty to fight against any infidels who are threatening our Muslim brothers… It only keeps going on and on until the Muslim empire swallows every empire existing."

Those are pretty scary words to freedom loving people, but that’s what they have been led to believe.

"Muslims do believe that Isa (A.S.) was sent down as a Prophet of Allah (God), but he (Jesus) is not God or Lord, nor the son of God. Muslims do not believe that Isa (A.S.), also known as Jesus by Christians and others, is dead or was ever crucified. We believe that he was raised to heaven and is there, and will descend at the appointed time, end all wars, and bring peace to the world. Like Jesus (A.S.), Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is also a Prophet and Messenger. Muhammed (P.B.U.H.) is the last Prophet, though, and there is none after him. Hence, Islam is the last religion, complete, with the Holy Qur'an as the unchanged and perfect word of God for over 1400 years, as God promised to preserve it till the last day for all of humankind, unlike sacred texts of other religions which have mulitple versions and are "revised" periodically. God, or Allah in Arabic, is Divine and Supreme Being and Creator." (Mufti A.H. Elias, www.islam.tc, Isa/Jesus A.S.)

They slew him not, nor did they crucify him but it was made dubious to them. (Holy Qur'an, Surah Nisaa, Verse 157)

"Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) himself told of the coming of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

They attempt to use John 14:15,16; 15:26,27; 16:12-14.

Ulema (learned scholars in Islam) have said that the person who is described by Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) to come after him - in the above verse - does not comply with any other person but Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)." (Mufti A.H. Elias, www.islam.tc, Isa/Jesus A.S.)

This is crazy and totally untrue. It's clear from ancient testimony, the Scriptures and nature itself, that these Biblical verses speak of none other than the Holy Spirit not Mohammed.

"The "person" whom Jesus (A.S.) prophecised will come after him, is called Pargaleeta in the Bible. This word was deleted by interpreters and translators and changed at times to "Spirit of Truth" and at other times, to "comforter" and sometimes "Holy Spirit." The original Greek and its meaning is "one whom people praise exceedingly." The sense of the word, then, is applicable to the word Muhammad in Arabic, since Muhammad means 'the praised one.'" This is ridiculous someone needs to go back to Theology School! The Greek word parakletos means comforter, advocate, or one that comes along side. Not "the one whom people praised"? That is sloppy Greek and twisted Theology.

What does the Qur'an teach?

"And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers." (Quran, the cow chapter, 2:191)

"O you who believe! spend out of what We have given you before the day comes in which there is no bargaining, neither any friendship nor intercession, and the unbelievers-- they are the unjust." (Quran, the cow chapter, 2:254)

"And repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds, until when death comes to one of them, he says: Surely now I repent; nor (for) those who die while they are unbelievers. These are they for whom we have prepared a painful chastisement. Those who are niggardly and bid people to be niggardly and hide what Allah has given them out of His grace; and We have prepared for the unbelievers a disgraceful chastisement. And when you journey in the earth, there is no blame on you if you shorten the prayer, if you fear that those who disbelieve will cause you distress, surely the unbelievers are your open enemy." (Quran, the women chapter, 4:18,37,101)

"And when Allah promised you one of the two parties that it shall be yours and you loved that the one not armed should he yours and Allah desired to manifest the truth of what was true by His words and to cut off the root of the unbelievers. this-- taste it, and (know) that for the unbelievers is the chastisement of fire. This, and that Allah is the weakener of the struggle of the unbelievers." (Quran, the accessions chapter, 8:7,14,18)

"O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination.

And let not their property and their children excite your admiration; Allah only wishes to chastise them with these in this world and (that) their souls may depart while they are unbelievers It did not beseem the people of Medina and those round about them of the dwellers of the desert to remain behind the Apostle of Allah, nor should they desire (anything) for themselves in preference to him; this is because there afflicts them not thirst or fatigue or hunger in Allah's way, nor do they tread a path which enrages the unbelievers, nor do they attain from the enemy what they attain, but a good work is written down to them on account of it; surely Allah does not waste the reward of the doers of good; O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil)." (Quran, the Immunity chapter, and 9:73,85,120,123)

"So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it." (Quran, the Distinction chapter, 25:52)

"And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Apostle, then surely we have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers. Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers..." (Quran, the Victory chapter, 4:13,29)

Beloved, it's clear Islam is not compatible with Christianity and is an enemy of Jesus Christ. The quote below from their own beliefs prove it.

This is totally contrary to Biblical Theology and places Islam as a world religion polemic to Christianity.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." (John 1:1,2)

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]." (John 1:18)

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." (John 8:58)

"Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." (1 Corinthians 2:8)

" Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:6-8)

"And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." (Revelation 19:16)

Some will say but Islam teaches that the Quran is God's final word to mankind? Just as we say that of the Bible.

"Islam is the last religion, complete, with the Holy Qur'an as the unchanged and perfect word of God for over 1400 years, as God promised to preserve it till the last day for all of humankind…." (Mufti A.H. Elias, www.islam.tc, Isa/Jesus A.S.)

They may make this claim but we know this is not true. Our Lord Jesus has a problem with that He said.

"…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

So the conclusion is Islam is a religion that is opposed to Christianity and to Christ Himself. And is therefore lost and its adherents are in need of salvation.

Here's what some say.

"To kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military, is an individual duty of every Muslim who is able, in any country where this is possible." (Bin Laden, 1998)

After the attack

"President Bush has authorized calling in 35,000 members of the Ready Reserve Units of the armed forces and the Coast Guard. These members would be on active duty for "homeland defense," including Cold War-style patrols of U.S. airspace from coast to coast, officials said. New technology, called biometric software, introduced last January at the Super Bowl, can screen crowds and pick out suspected terrorists from a crowd. The same technology could be used in places like airports and landmarks and offer advanced warning of possible attacks." (Amanda Onion, On Guard, ABC News.com, Sept. 18, 2001)

"The use of biological or chemical weapons — described by some as the poor man's atomic bomb — is a sensitive topic, especially now. No Real Threat — Yet Experts caution that a bio-terrorism attack in the United States is not inevitable." (Joseph B. Verrengia, Planning the Unthinkable, ABC News.com, Sept. 17, 2001)

"In response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Congress is considering requiring all citizens and non-citizens to carry identity cards. Those might be "smart cards" storing data such as fingerprints and travel records." (MSNBC.com, Sept. 18, 2001)

"Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.), who headed the committee hearing, said a "new era" in protecting national security -- including cybersecurity -- had arrived. Although the hearing had been previously scheduled, what was remarkable was that it was even held, since many others were postponed…Plesser says he believes that shift will be toward security. There is no doubt that the nation is in a new era." (IDG.net, Sept. 14, 2001)

"In a wide-ranging interview, Bono gave dire warnings of an immediate future she predicted could include intense scrutiny of airline passengers, a national system of fingerprinting and identification cards and the specter of chemical and biological attacks on the United States…The key here is to crack down. I think people are going to have to recognize that some of their conveniences are going to be gone," Bono said. "Whether we are talking about national ID cards I don’t know, or fingerprinting of everybody, I don’t know where we are going to go with security. I’m glad to show my identification where I need to go." (The Desert Sun

"Under cover of a series of terrorist attacks in New York City and at the Pentagon, California lawmakers have passed a bill that will redefine traditional marriage in the state and convey new marriage rights on homosexual couples, says a conservative women's group…You'd think they would have had the decency to wait a few days before launching this reckless assault on society's premiere institution," said Robert Knight, director of Concerned Women for America's Culture and Family Institute." "…when America is experiencing a moral resurgence, the homosexual lobby is pushing its divisive agenda to redefine the natural, God-given family and marriage," Moles said. "…Powell Acknowledges Homosexual Partner of Ambassador, Post Says Secretary of State Colin Powell publicly acknowledged the homosexual partner of America’s new ambassador to Romania at a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, according to The Washington Post’s "Reliable Source" in the Style section." "Just ten days before the terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon – reportedly linked to Islamic militants – the U.S. Postal Service issued a new stamp celebrating Islam. The postage entitled "EID Greetings" may appear to some as a sinister spoof, given that, when read backwards, EID spells "die." ((Diana Lynne, WorldNetDaily.com, Sept. 20, 2001)

Gray Davis (news - web sites) signed legislation Sunday providing about a dozen rights enjoyed by married couples to more than 16,000 registered gay, lesbian and domestic partners in California. The bill lets partners who register with the secretary of state's office make medical decisions for incapacitated partners, sue for wrongful death, adopt a partner's child and will property to a partner. ``This bill is about responsibility, respect, and most of all about family - and it's about time,'' Davis said."

We notice a string of earthquakes in "various places."

"LOS ANGELES -- A small earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale was felt in parts of Los Angeles on Sunday. No damage was reported from the tremor that struck at 10:29 a.m PDT and was centered in the Silver Lake area north of downtown. It was followed by two smaller "micro earthquakes" centered near downtown and in the Newport Beach area of Orange County, the U.S. Geological Survey reported." (NewsMax, Oct. 12, 2001)

"Five earthquakes measuring between 3.2 and 4.8 on the open-ended Richter scale shook northern Greece and the island of Rhodes in the Aegean Sea on Monday, earthquake monitoring authorities said. Authorities said there had been no victims or material damage in any of the quakes. The strongest quake shook the region around Rhodes off the Turkish coast, but it, like the four quakes near Salonica, caused no damage or injuries, authorities said. The quakes near Salonica had caused panic and schools were evacuated as a precautionary measure." (Yahoo News, Oct. 8, 2001)

BEIJING (Reuters) - An earthquake in southern China measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale toppled more than 3,400 buildings and killed at least one person, the official Xinhua news agency reported Sunday. (ABC News Oct. 28, 2001)

HAGATNA, Guam (Reuters) - A severe earthquake jolted Guam early Saturday, disrupting power and water services and sending tourists and residents running out of hotels and homes. The quake, measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale, occurred at 1:02 a.m. Guam time Saturday (around 1700 GMT on Friday), officials said. (Yahoo News, Oct. 13, 2001)

NEW YORK (AP) A minor earthquake shook the New York City area early Saturday, a monitor for the U.S. Geological Survey said. A magnitude-2.6 earthquake hit under lower Manhattan around 1:42 a.m., said Dr. John Ebel, director of the Weston Observatory at Boston College, which monitors seismic activity in the Northeast. (ABC News, Oct. 27, 2001)

And then there's the obvious.

A few top Defense officials believe Timothy McVeigh, executed for his role in the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building, was an Iraqi agent, reports U.S. News in the Oct. 29 issue. (WorldNetDaily, Oct. 24, 2001)

Did the Attack bring us closer to Global Unity?

In China, where anti-Americanism is high (and is the only UN Security Council member not to fly state flags at half staff), popular reactions mixed sympathy with a feeling the United States got what it deserved. Yet many Chinese will also recognize a call one son made to his mother, saying, "I am not a fan of America. But when I saw those towers collapse, I thought of the great hurt we would feel if a plane crashed into Tiananmen Square. I feel differently." Officials of the Church World Service relief agency told NCC's Office of News and Information that despite the official closure of the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, thousands have managed to escape… It plans to provide over 8,000 family shelter kits to new arrivals in the border cities of Quetta and Peshawar and to provide primary shelter to approximately 50,000 persons."
